Betroka Properties
The extensive Betroka Property covers 20,943.75 square kilometres of metamorphic terrane in southern Madagascar. The majority of this property forms a contiguous unit. Recent geologic mapping by GAF AG and BGR (a UN funded geological mapping program) has revealed uranium-thorium mineralization in association with several metamorphic units in this region. Many of these occurrences are within the Betroka Property. Pencari's approach at Betroka will be data compilation followed up by airborne radiometrics and magnetics, and ground prospecting campaigns.
The Betroka region is also considered to be prospective for diamonds.
